  • Onion 1
  • For batter:

  • Corn starch 80 g
  • Water 70cc
  • Olive oil 1 tsp
  • For coating:

  • WAPANKO 1 cup
  • To taste:

  • Salt

  • Turmeric

  • Coriander

  • Garam masala

  • Garlic powder

  • Your favorite spice of choice

You can add more olive oil to the batter if the WAPANKO doesn`t stick. Adding 2 tbsp of plant-based mayonnaise also works.

[ Method ]

  • 1Slice onion into 1 cm rings and separate them into pieces.
  • 2Mix the batter ingredients until well combined. Add the olive oil last.
  • 3Dip the onions in the batter.
  • 4Mix WAPANKO and seasonings in a bowl and transfer to a tray.
  • 5Coat dipped onion in WAPANKO mixture.
  • 6Fry in a preheated air fryer at 180 Celsius for 4 minutes on one side and 3 on the other.
