  • For the batter:

  • Wapanko 50 g
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Milk 50 cc
  • Egg 1
  • For frying:

  • Salted butter 10 g

Topping suggestion: Honey Jam Chocolate sauce

[ Method ]

  • 1Toast WAPANKO in a preheated air fryer at 180 Celsius for 4 minutes, until crispy.
  • 2Mix the batter ingredients until well combined.
  • 3Heat the butter in the frying pan.
  • 4Combine the WAPANKO with the batter, making sure to eliminate any clumps. Pour the batter into the pan, immediately shaping it with a spatula before leaving it to fry for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  • 5Serve with honey, jam or chocolate sauce, according to preference.
  • 6Note: Prebaked WAPANKO adds more flavour but you can skip that step and the recipe will still be delicious.
